Documentary: Why We Fight?

This award winning documentary by Eugene Jarecki is dealing with American foreign policy after WWII and how private corporates did become major player in the war business. According to this movie (among many others) it’s quite clear that US military is not only just protecting their country. It’s very disturbing to realise how much suffering western way of consuming is causing.. Highly educative and intelligent movie!
Intelligent Design on Frisky Radio

I’m happy to announce my new show on Frisky Radio. It’s called Intelligent Design and it’s going to be aired every first TUE of the month at 03 - 05pm PST (01 - 03am CET). So far it seems that the first airdate is 6th of february 2007. But there will be reruns like usual and I’m thinking about making a podcast too.
This two hour show is not going to feature guestmixes (well maybe there are exceptions!) but I want to focus on creating a little musical story every month showcasing the best progressive tracks at the moment.
I’m also going to quit my Subtraxx Experience show on DI.fm #trance. Subtraxx show was originally launched by Giorgio Ponticelli about 3(??) years ago. I thank DI.fm for all these years and I’m looking forward to work with Frisky. There is always time for everything and now it feels ok to start something new. btw. I have flipped my coin for this also
Interview with Deejay Magazine
My interview with Spanish Deejay Magazine has been published in November issue. Here it is in English language.
Documentary: Stoned in suburbia

It was really difficult to figure out what document I want to showcase you first.. Since most of those docs are quite serious I thought maybe starting with something that’s mostly funny. This absolutely hilarious British document is about retired people smoking and growing weed. It doesn’t take any stand on the issue of legalising but only gives you a clue how widespread it actually is, even among old people. Somehow it’s even bit nasty to see grannies baking magic pies and having special tea parties for other grannies.
And I have to say it here right now, I don’t have any opinion on this matter so there is no point to comment or ask about it either. And if you think it’s not funny that old people are using “drugs” then you really have to see this film *Peace*
‘Lost In You’ Remixed

Just delivered my remix for this classic for JOOF. More info about this release on http://joof.co.uk later. This was also remixed by The Digital Blonde.
James Alexander & Pete Gawtry - Lost In You (Miika Kuisma Remix)
New category: Documentaries
I’ve seen SO many interesting documentaries lately which are available on Google or YouTube and I think it might be nice to pick some of the most bizarre, scary or informative movies for you to see. I’ll post these every now and then, beware ![]()

Baroque debut

I’m happy to announce that ‘Awakening’ by me and OlliS has been signed for Baroque Records UK. We’ve been informed that release date could be sometime in February 2007 and this might appear on one of their sublabels. More details coming later.
And here is a clip of the track itself
Miika Kuisma & OlliS - Awakening
Miika Kuisma & Mr.A - Honey

‘Miika Kuisma & Mr.A: Honey’ is now exclusive available from Beatport.com. click here to buy. Other shops and CD are available from 13th of November.
The second release on Danceteria Music takes a total twist on things as the production duo, DJ´s, and label managers Miika and Antti take things slightly deeper. “Honey” may seem like a girlie name for a track but this tech/progressive house builder does the absolute essential.. keeping the groove simple and effecive, with trippy vocals and killer sub bass, this soup will be served. Steaming hot..
Not without the Remixes, of course, and who else would be more than perfect to welcome to our label but U&K, that mighty (non-hockey) team from Tampere, Finland, who are no strangers to labels such as Slave, Cuba, L2, and Babylon Records. With their “Dubkno remix”, things float even deeper. .Think of their recent hit “Paranoid” and add some dubby techno elements, a massive bassline and some squirky sounds recently so familiar for the duo. Massive.
Second remix comes in the form of Kutikula, a new talent originating from Helsinki. His very cool electrohouse remix will definately find the fans of that sound. Breaking and totally re-arranging the vocals, adding a killer groove, this remix will absolutely do the damage on the dancefloor.
And just out of pure love for the music, we´ll throw in the Heikki Liimatainen a.k.a. Supermodels from Paris EXCLUSIVE remix, which won´t be available on the CD, but on download only. With his trademark fat bottom base dirty sexy electric house workout, the package is nearly but PERFECT.
