Megamind set out to crown the Most Popular Nordic DJ for the 4th year in a row. Previous years votes has been highly popular and this years vote is bigger and better then before. This year you can add 3 DJ’s that you feel is the ones you want to vote for.

The vote is open from the 25th of August 2006 until the 31st of January 2007. The points awarded are as follows : 3, 2 and 1 point. The pointsystem is in place to single out an overall winner, it’s your choice to vote.

Last year I was happy to see myself at 5th place (thanks!) and I need your support again. Remember that you can vote only for DJs from Sweden, Denmark, Norway or Finland. No other countries!

Danceteria the Club is the monthly clubnight devoted to everything and everyone around the Danceteria label, the ideology and the music of the DanceteriA brand. Originally set up by Mr.A in July 2005 in the sweaty basement of club Birdie (rip), it saw a beginning of something totally fresh and new in the Helsinki club scene. Not only in its strict policy of housemusic, but also the 6hr slots Mr.A performed every Saturday, introducing some of the future tracks now signed to the label as well as music that wasn´t played anywhere else in the city.

Since June 2006, DTM, the biggest gay club in Scandinavia has been playing the role of new host to Danceteria. With singers, dancers, live-performances, drag queens (and occasional tabloid celebrities), the relationship with DTM has flourished and has proven to be a big influence in the Club’s story so far. As with the Danceteria Music Record label, the label honchos Miika Kuisma and Heikki Liimatainen have joined forces with Mr.A at the Club and are now representing and playing their part as monthly residents.

Now kickin’ off their 06/07 winter season, the Club’s story continues to unfold. One thing is for certain, bringing quality, upfront housemusic to the masses. Entertain and educate. Always keep a surprise (or three) up the sleeve. When the drums speak, the tribes gather. Peace.

Last saturday we celebrated the 10th birthday of Illusions club, the longest running club in Finland. It was about 13 hour marathon featuring 21 djs in two stages. I had priviledge to open the main arena and here is my playlist. I was able to “roadtest” most of my new stuff for the first time. I once again remembered that nothing beats the feeling when you’ve a new track that nobody heard and you just know it will bomb the crowd
