Remix for Modulation
Modulation is a collaboration of Heikki Liimatainen (Dallas Superstars & Supermodels From Paris) and Alex Kunnari. Their previous singles Dark Star, Spirits and Sky have all received huge attention by all major players in the DJ world. First time I heard White Flame I instantly thought this is the biggest one yet.
I was really excited to remix White Flame and to me personally, this one is maybe the best remix I’ve ever done (some say it’s the next Emoticon Remix). Well it’s done now and single is signed for Big Star Records and what I know we should see this out in early summer.

This year amount of votes was the lowest ever and there wasn’t any big surprises. Results were almost excatly what I was expecting, except my position at the best DJ category was more than I was hoping for.

I need to warn you at this point. I’ll most likely going to write a lot of non-music related things here. Anyone who knows me can second that I’ve quite strong and even radical opinions when it comes to philosophy, environment, world politics and even spiritual stuff. It’s all in my everyday thoughts and I really can’t keep my mouth shut anymore. I just don’t know where to start yet but you can expect somekind of a brainflood on this site soon.
Collaboration with OlliS
OlliS has stabilized his place in the Finnish clubbing scene as the leading progressive house DJ and a rising star in the Baltic and Eastern European countries. Having a weekly radio show at Finnish national radio and a monthly residency at Frisky Radio with a success show ‘Aurea Mediocritas’ is keeping him very busy alongside dj´ing. OlliS represents a new generation of progressive house music, a style that is built on strong basslines, epic melodies and groovy rhythm.
After about an year of talking about it we finally got ourselves into studio for few days. We knew that our taste in music is quite similar and once I found out Olli has about 10 years experience in playing piano it was clear that something had to be done.
What we’ve now is a mixture of oldschool house and modern producing tricks. It’s a kind of journey that takes almost 11 minutes and takes long time to build the climax. I’ll post a preview clip on listening room in near future.
